Mamimu is a brand by June Mineyama-Smithson, a London-based artist on a mission to inject optimism. Combining the philosophy of Japanese Kimono artisans and Postmodern wit, she creates bold joyful patterns from seemingly mundane scenery from London, Tokyo, New York and wherever she goes.
The City Tote Collection was developed with the spirit of Omotenashi – the Japanese word for “wholehearted hospitality”. The tote bags have been designed to anticipate the needs of commuters and travellers, whether they are biking to work, riding on the underground tube, or going on a weekend trip. Key features include padded laptop compartments, durable and lightweight material, full-grain leather straps, screen-printed city-inspired designs and more.
